Their customer service is unmatched with 3D graphic designers available to bring customer visions to life, providing to-scale renderings of how furnishings will appear in their new homes.
For a closer look into the world of Roche Bobois, we spoke with Dana Shihab, brand coordinator at Roche Bobois North America.
How would you describe the design philosophy at Roche Bobois?
Roche Bobois aims to celebrate the French art de vivre around the world. We offer a broad range of exclusive made-to-order designs, manufactured with a high level of customization in small European workshops. We have two main collections: Les Nouveaux Classiques, which is inspired by classic French furniture from the 18th and 20th centuries; and Les Contemporains, a more modern collection. Some of our most iconic pieces, the Mah Jong sofa and the Bubble sofa, are a representation of what Roche Bobois aims to achieve in their designs.
Which designers does Roche Bobois work with?
Roche Bobois works with both established, big name designers and new, emerging creative talent from around the world. Roche Bobois works closely with renowned designers such as Marcel Wanders, Kenzō Takada, Sacha Lakic, Christophe Delcourt, and Stephen Burks, as well as haute couture fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, and Christian Lacroix Maison. Most recently, Roche Bobois had a collaboration with Portuguese visual artist Joana Vasconcelos on the Bombom collection.
What can clients expect at Roche Bobois, in terms of the design service?
The Roche Bobois decoration consulting service consists of teams of interior decorators and 3D experts to bring our clients’ decoration projects to life using 3D design software. Based on the client’s instructions, we draw very detailed plans of their interior … such as floor plans, furniture selection, dimensions of the pieces, and more. Using a powerful 3D design software, the image is then finalized for optimal rendering of textures, reflections, and colors. This rendering allows the client to visualize their selection of products in their home and to discover the images of their future interior.
How does Roche Bobois bring a client’s design vision to life?
We always offer top quality customer service … before, during, and after the client’s project. Bringing the client’s design vision to life all starts in the bond created between the salesperson and the client. This established relationship carries on through the planning process, and this [continues] even when we bring in a 3D designer for renderings. We also have an after-sales department that is ready to assist the clients with any other questions that they might have after the project is complete.
What do you love most about being on El Paseo?
[El Paseo] isn’t our first location at an outdoor shopping center. We’ve done that before. We always look for a location or destination with the most other luxury brands or luxury boutiques, and I feel like El Paseo has that. The destination is very upscale and elevated with designer boutiques and eateries. El Paseo is definitely a good fit for us.
