A palette of warm woods, opulent gold, and tranquil sage sets an upscale tone at this elevated bistro known for fresh seafood, leafy greens, and grass-fed beef. After opening in mid-2022, Porta Via became an instant classic.
With well-loved outposts in Newport Beach and Sedona, Arizona, Wild Thyme Restaurant Group is poised to open its third Shorebird location on El Paseo later in 2023. Expect coastal flavors and a smart-casual atmosphere.
Another Wild Thyme Restaurant Group concept, Molé specializes in craft Mexican fare — and a variety of mole sauces, of course — along with fresh-pressed margaritas and housemade sangria.
Need a sweet treat? Locally owned frozen custard favorite Perfect Pint recently unveiled an “ice cream submarine” in a shiny silver trailer. Find a variety of rotating gourmet flavors on the lower level of The Gardens on El Paseo near Anthropologie.
Tommy Bahama Home
Its popular restaurant and boutique are longtime staples of the street, and now the Tommy Bahama brand is expanding with a brand-new home store offering fine furnishings and home décor fit for a relaxed resort lifestyle.
Known for being one of the valley’s leading retailers of brands such as Knoll, Herman Miller, and Carl Hansen & Søn, this Palm Desert darling unveiled its second location on El Paseo in early 2023.
Located at Hotel Paseo, and opened after a sophisticated renovation, this luxury spa touts a menu of holistic body and skincare treatments, with CBD and aromatherapy add-ons available.

Locally owned, with a flagship store in Rancho Mirage, this cheery boutique focuses on artisan-made goods (gifts, décor, and apparel) and collaborations with local makers. Rancho Relaxo recently relocated from its downstairs pop-up location (pictured above) to an upstairs space at The Gardens on El Paseo.

A flagship concept by Kyle Richards Umansky of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and entrepreneur Shahida Clayton, fashion brand Kyle x Shahida focuses on sustainable resort wear for the modern woman.
Coachella Valley Firebirds
The desert’s first professional sports team takes to the ice at Acrisure Arena in December 2022 for its first home game. Gear up at the official retail store, where you’ll find official jerseys, hats, hoodies, hockey pucks, and more.
