A SoCal Icon Since the 1940s

Make a wish. In 2021, we will say happy 75th birthday to the origins of El Paseo. Back in 1946, visionary Cliff Henderson purchased 1,700 sandy acres with a dream of developing a thriving city around an elegant shopping avenue. His mind’s eye envisioned an inclusive Southern California destination like no other. His dream lives on in the resort lifestyle district we enjoy today. El Paseo embodies Palm Desert’s past and future with timeless, sun-drenched style.
