Renew, relax, and re-imagine your beauty regimen

When was the last time you took a day off from your usual routine of sloughing and priming and primping and setting? Leave it to the pros. El Paseo aestheticians, hairstylists, and makeup artists are standing by to help you look your best.

Start your day with a spa treatment, a blowout, and a manipedi to put your most confident self forward. Some locations, like JAKE TURNER SALON and SHEAR HAIR DESIGN, do it all. (The latter even offers permanent makeup and microblading. Just think: You might never need to fill in your brows with a pencil again!)

Fellows, meanwhile, will find pampering experiences at TERRA LANE HAIR DESIGNS and EL PASEO BARBERS. Both provide old-school cuts, trims, and traditional shaves that include a massage and alternating hot and cold towels to stimulate the pores.

Short on time? A half-hour is all you need at ALL TRESSED UP or BLOWN EL PASEO, where express appointments are crafted specifically for individuals on the go. Their teams will drystyle your mane and give you the perfect winged cat eye for a fresh-from-the-salon glow in a fraction of the time. Beauty houses like SEPHORA and MAC COSMETICS offer full-face makeup services in store, but if you're in a hurry, a simple lash application may be just the ticket to elevate your look.

Refresh your morning ritual on El Paseo, and rediscover how amazing it is to be you.

SPOTLIGHT:

Treat Yourself
You deserve a little "you time."

1 CUSTOM FACIAL: At Alankara Aveda Salon, a skincare specialist will assess your complexion and craft a custom 60- or 90- minute facial to treat your specific skin needs.

2 BLOWDRY & BRAID: Head to All Tressed Up for a hair wash and an updo with a braid — and sip champagne while a stylist primps your locks for the day.

3 REFLEXOLOGY PEDICURE: Settle in for a pressure-point massage as your toes get gussied up in a private suite at Nails and Reflexology by Meredith.

4 PEEL & TREAT: The SkinSmooth treatment at SkinCeuticals SkinLab pairs an LED micropeel with a phyto treatment to clear the complexion and leave skin feeling smooth.

5 HAIR EXTENSIONS: Certified extension stylists at Sherry Mesa the Salon are trained in four application techniques to achieve the length and texture that's right for you.

Agim Rakipi
Owner/Hairstylist Agim Salon

What makes Agim Rakipi a great hairstylist? He sees things most of us don't. "When I watch movies, I catch little mistakes," he explains. "My eyes are very picky." That sharp eye drove Rakipi's career. He trained with world-renowned stylists José Eber and Frédéric Fekkai and worked on film and TV sets.

Although he previously owned a salon on El Paseo and styled hair at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, he has slowed things down over the past 12 years to enjoy more time with family and coach his kids' sports teams.

In 2021, however, Rakipi felt the itch to open his own salon again, which he did along with his wife, Bruna, and daughter, Aliana. The boutique hair studio is located at The Gardens on El Paseo.

Rakipi takes everything from facial features to personal style into account when designing a client's crop. "I'm inspired to enhance what makes them [unique]," he explains. "I look for their potential."
